Working in a small team of experienced and dedicated individuals, you will be a key contributor to the design of automation and control systems for a variety of applications, including environmental controls and power generation.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and demonstrated experience of PLC systems integration and microcontroller-based embedded design.
Applicants must be registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers of Yukon.
Responsibilities:
Projects will include control cabinet design and system documentation, creation of process logic, as well as HMI and SCADA design reviews. The successful candidate may also work on embedded controls projects, from device design to production, based on experience.
Create and review project documentation including electrical schematics, design requirements, technical specifications, calculations, user documentation, and additional information as required.
Research, analyze, and review designs for regulatory compliance, performance testing and troubleshooting.
Supervise Engineers-in-Training including design review and professional development.
- - Knowledge of instrumentation and programmable logic controller applications
- - Solid experience creating control panel schematics and documentation
- - Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience
- - Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- - Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office
*Commercial application of microcontrollers and FPGAs, Ethernet communication, circuit design and layout will be considered a strong advantage.
